Established in 1948 by Carmelo Conti, father of present owner Paul, the winery is enjoying a growing following for its premium range of reds and a number of whites and sparkling wines. Grape growing acreage is select and covers more than 30 acres across three areas, Woodvale, Mariginiup and Carabooda to give the winery its own supply of grapes. They are chardonnay, shiraz, sauvignon blanc, chenin blanc, merlot and muscat of Alexandria. Other varieties, such as pinot noir and tempranillo, are specially selected and bought in from the well-known Swan Valley and Pemberton grape growing regions. The Conti's have recently purchased a Margaret River property where additional vines have been planted for future production. Small, modern and up-to-date with cold fermentation is stainless steel, steel storage for bulk wines and French and American oak barriques for top red wines means the winery is consistently achieving quality vintages. It has received numerous awards at the Royal Perth Show and Paul is a prestigious Jack Mann Memorial Medal winner.
